2005 Green Beeng Awazon Tea Leaves - Gourmet Pu-erh Teas Feature

  • Because the Art of Tea is about Good Taste!
  • Considered a medicinal tea in China, this Pu-erh reduces cholesterol levels and aid in weight loss.
The 2005 Edition: Vintage in Flavor, Young in Age. The Awazon Green Pu-erh is a young Pu-erh that requires no aging! Its high grade leaves have been oxidized to produce mellow brews of the finest Pu-erh quality! The taste is smooth. However, if you want to let the cake age for 10 years, it will provide you with a high quality Pu-erh brew beyond belief! A little patience, and your smooth cup of today will develop into a sophisticated and mellow brew down the road. Each cake yields at least 75-100 servings, and each set of leaves infuse well for 4 to 6 steeps. Comes in a gift box, and with an inner paper label identifying the tea and year of production. Perfect for drinking with dim sum meals, or for sharing with the best of company. Helps in digestion. Considered a medicinal tea in China, this Pu-erh is believed to reduce cholesterol levels and aid in weight loss. Pu-erh teas are aged before they are consumed, unlike other teas which are meant to be consumed shortly after production. Pu-erh teas are at least 1-4 years old, but can also be aged for more than 50 years! Over this time, Pu-erh teas ferment, which leads to their earthy flavor, as opposed to the flavor of oolong or black teas, which comes from oxidation. Pu-erh teas are unique among tea varieties because they do not lose qualities after a year or two, but rather gain in value, and are classified by connoisseurs by year of production.

  • Because the Art of Tea is about Good Taste!
  • Considered a medicinal tea in China, this Pu-erh reduces cholesterol levels and aid in weight loss.
If you look carefully at the picture, you will see the original Menghai Red inner label that distinguishes this tea from others. The leaves are very valuable. These years are the best ones to taste the unique flavors of this Menghai Grand Pu-erh, because this 1990s brew has matured into its optimal drinking time. 1990s Menghai Grand Red Label is one of one favorites. The 1990s production is a recreation of the famous 1950s Grand Red Label. What the 1990s brew lacks in years, it makes up for in every other area. The color of the leaves has a slight red tinge to it when seeped. The taste is bean-like yet tastes like camphor, an entirely unique combination for teas. The leaves yield many infusions.

Two Leaves and a Bud Organic Assam Breakfast Black Tea, Loose, 8-Ounce Resealable Pouch (Pack of 2) Feature

  • Pack of two 1/2 pound resealable loose tea sleeves (total one lb. of loose tea)
  • Smooth, robust and malty flavor
  • Full caffeine; less than coffee
  • 100% organic premium Assam black tea
  • Mountain grown in India
Sure, you can sip Assam for breakfast. We encourage it. But we're not going to call this tea the classic "English Breakfast," because that typically refers to a blend of lesser quality teas. These are big, black, organic tea leaves grown in Assam, India, where hot days and cool nights bring out a rich, full flavor.
